ProfileWendell K. Chestnut is a Senior Vice President and Market Manager for the Manhattan market in Business Banking at Bank of America. In this capacity, his responsibilities include leading a team relationship managers focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Wendell’s mission is to help local companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or how complex.
Bringing 25 years of experience, Wendell K. joined Bank of America in 1996. He has also served as Market Manager for Small Business Banking, Senior Relationship Manager in Business Banking, Director of Planning & Operations in Bank of America Securities, Manager of Marketing Communications in the Commercial Development Group as well as a number of other roles throughout his tenure with BofA. He began his banking career at Bank of America where he was most recently a Senior Relationship Manager in Boston. Throughout his banking career, Wendell K. has served mid-sized companies throughout the Northeast area to support their commercial banking needs.
To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities he serves, Wendell volunteers with several not-for-profit organizations focused on education and human rights for people of color and the LGBT+ community, most recently serving on the board of Pride in Our Workplace. He also serves as a mentor for teammates across Bank of America as a member and leader in the Black Professional Group, Black Executive Leadership Council and LGBT+ Pride groups of Boston & New York.
Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Wendell K graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Women Studies from Williams College. He also has a graduate degree from the Stonier School of Banking and Leadership Degree from Wharton. He resides in Manhattan, NY.
