Ward McCamy is a Senior Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager based out of Gainesville, Ga.  Ward covers the Gainesville and Athens markets primarily, as well as the surrounding Northeast Georgia area in Commercial Banking at Bank of America. In this capacity his responsibilities include understanding each client’s unique commercial lending needs, as well as leading a team of specialists to help deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Ward’s mission is to help local companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or how complex.

Bringing close to 25 years of local banking experience in Northeast Georgia, Ward joined Bank of America in April of 2018.  Ward began his banking career for Hardwick Bank in his home town of Dalton, Ga back in 1994, and has been in just about every role in banking including real estate and mortgage lending.  Ward most recently spent 9 years with Wells Fargo in Gainesville, Ga as a Vice President and business banking relationship manager. Ward has served companies ranging from around $5 million in revenues on up to $180 million in revenues with local businesses based mainly in the Gainesville, Ga, Cleveland, Ga and Gwinnett County areas. 

To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities he serves, Ward has served in various leadership roles including being the Board Chairman for each of the following organizations including Young Life of Hall County, North Hall Community Education Foundation, and the Lanierland Auburn Alumni Club.  Ward helps support several not-for-profit organizations including a local nonprofit his wife Lindsey founded in 2012 called Family Promise of Hall County, where his wife also serves as the local Director.  Family Promise helps local homeless families with children build new lives.  Ward also serves as a local member in the Kiwanis Club.

Originally from Dalton, Ga, Ward graduated with a bachelor of sciences degree from the Auburn University business school.  Ward’s father Bucky was a pioneer in the carpet industry in Dalton, Ga, as he owned and operated one of the original carpet manufacturers for artificial grass carpet, and has been retired for several years.  Ward’s mother Judy just recently finished up her 35 year career as a realtor in Dalton, Ga for Coldwell Banker.    Ward and his wife Lindsey have 3 kids Carter, Kate, and Charlie, all of whom are in grade schools in the Gainesville area.
