Victor Castillo is a Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for the Los Angeles South Bay and Long Beach markets for Commercial Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In this capacity, his responsibilities consist of leading a team of financial specialists to deliver tailored credit, deposit, and cash management solutions for privately-held companies with annual revenues from $5 million to $50 million. Targeted industries and businesses include manufacturing, transportation / logistics, healthcare, professional services, and commercial real estate.

 
Victor started his commercial banking career at Wells Fargo where he had a fully vertical role.  His duties included sourcing, processing, underwriting and funding commercial credits. Victor was tasked with structuring and underwriting some of the most complex commercial credits in the market place ranging from $2 to $50 million in outstanding credits.  His product offering included working capital facilities, equipment financing, commercial real estate financing, and business expansion/acquisition financing.  He also recruited, mentored and trained junior bankers. Victor was recruited to JPMorgan Chase Business Banking and subsequently City National Bank Commercial Banking .  During the 15 years Victor was in commercial banking, he was one of the top commercial lenders in Southern California.  

 
In 2014, Victor cofounded a fintech startup that was developing commercial lending software for banks and credit unions.  Victor and his partners raised a seed round, built a prototype and showcased the platform to prospective banks.  At Bizpetrol, Victor was responsible for translating complex business problems in the financial services industry into deployable technology solutions.    He used machine learning to develop features that would help banks augment decision making and streamline the commercial lending cycle.   

 
In 2019, Victor decided to pivot back into commercial banking at Bank of America in El Segundo.  Victor attended Loyola Marymount University and has lived in Manhattan Beach since 2006.
