Susan Couch is a Senior Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for the San Diego market Commercial Banking team at Bank of America. In this capacity, her responsibilities include leading a team of specialists focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Susan’s mission is to help local companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or complex.Susan is a graduate of University of Washington Pacific Coast Banking School (Alumni Council), Phoenix Community College with an AA in Banking and Finance and LEAD San Diego Honor graduate. Active in the community, she currently serves on the boards of the Aerospace & Defense Forum San Diego, National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), San Diego Military Advisory Council (SDMAC), United Service Organization (USO) and active with the Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association (AFCEA), San Diego Cyber Center of Excellence (SDCCOE), Padres Pedal the Cause San Diego, BAC Leadership, Education, Advocacy & Development (LEAD) for Women, Military Support & Assistance Group (MSAG), Women’s leadership Council, and Power of 10 Mentorship program.
Susan joined Bank of America in 1990 as a Financial Center Manager in San Diego prior to becoming a Senior Relationship Manager with Commercial Banking. Susan has been the recipient of several awards including the YWCA Tribute to Women in Industry (TWIN), one of San Diego’s most prestigious business recognition awards given to women who have made significant contributions to their industries and communities, San Diego Business Journal finalist for Women Who Mean Business & Top 50 Women of Influence: 50 over 50, Bank of America Spirit of Excellence, Leadership, Superstar, Top Gun honors, Pinnacle Award winner (Business Banking’s top honor for employees who deliver exceptional results in serving clients, teammates and the company) and the Grit Award winner, highlighting commitment to her clients & community collaboration across all channels.
