Shawn Strohpaul is a Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for the Metro Atlanta market in Commercial Banking at Bank of America. In this capacity, his responsibilities include leading a team of specialists focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Shawn’s mission is to help local companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or how complex.

With over 21 years of banking experience, Shawn joined Bank of America in June 2019. Prior to joining Bank of America, he served as Business Banking Relationship Manager for the last two plus years and Treasury Sales Officer for six plus years at SunTrust Bank in Atlanta. He began his banking career at Fifth Third Bank in Grand Rapids, MI in 2001, was recruited to City National Bank in Los Angeles, and then to Mellon 1st Business Bank before it was acquired by U.S. Bank. Shawn has spent over 14 years as a Treasury Sales Officer, serving companies from business banking to large corporate in Grand Rapids, Los Angeles, and Atlanta, followed by the last two years as Relationship Manager serving mid-sized companies throughout the Atlanta area to support their commercial banking needs.

To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities he serves, Shawn has volunteered coaching young children in both soccer and baseball , as well as with Junior Achievement and Habitat for Humanity. In addition, Shawn is an Alumni of the Leadership Cobb 2022 leadership development program and a Chairman’s Club member of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, along with the Atlanta Economic Club and Association of Financial Professionals in Atlanta.

Originally from Grand Rapids, MI, Shawn graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Shawn also has a Master’s in Business Administration from Georgia Institute of Technology.  He resides in Woodstock, GA with his wife, two sons, and two dogs.
