Profile

Scott DeMeester is Senior Vice President and Market Manager for the Central and West Michigan market in Commercial Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.  In this capacity, his responsibilities include leading a team of Relationship Managers focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions.

Bringing 30 years of experience, Scott joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2015. Prior to joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Scott held leadership roles with Fifth Third Bank and JP Morgan Chase organizations.  Over his banking career, Scott has served companies of various sizes from small business to large corporations predominantly in the Western Michigan area. 

To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities he serves, Scott volunteers with several not-for-profit organizations focused on ending hunger and homelessness, most recently with Kids Food Basket and Habitat for Humanity.  He also serves as a mentor for teammates across Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a member and leader in the Michigan Employee Network. In addition, he also serves on the Board of Directors and past Treasurer for Zeeland Christian Schools and Beechwood Reformed Church.

Scott graduated with a BA in Economics from Calvin College and earned his MBA with honors from Grand Valley State University.  Scott also attended the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He resides in Holland, MI with his wife and family.
