Profile

Ryan B. Weddle is a Relationship Manager in Bank of America’s Business Banking division, serving Connecticut and Western Massachusetts.  He leads a team of specialists that provide a full suite of commercial banking solutions to businesses with annual sales ranging from $5 to $50+ million. The team is focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and advisory solutions on a full range of financial services capabilities.

In his 20+ year career in finance he has held several positions at Bank of America, including previous roles with the Merrill Lynch Municipal Capital Markets Group, BofAML Global Distressed Products Group, Global Corporate & Investment Banking, and most recently as a Business Banking Relationship Manager.

In our region, one of Ryan's focused commercial and industrial sectors where he brings unique insight and direct personal experience is the Aerospace and Defense industry.  Businesses in this sector – which include ship and boat building and repairing firms; aerospace product and parts manufacturers; and motor vehicle parts manufacturers that often make intensive use of technology, science and engineering in their development and production activities. 

Ryan's team leverages Bank of America's global capabilities to a local level and recognizes our region's unique qualities – home to a highly trained and educated workforce and a density of mature defense/technology companies along with a broad-based supply chain make it a uniquely strategic location for growth in this industry into the future.  Ryan provides clients unique insights and advisory solutions based on his experience in defense based purchasing, procurement/acquisition and contracts management.

A proud Navy veteran, he remains leadership and service oriented, continuing to serve in the U.S. Navy Reserve as a Lieutenant Commander and a is decorated veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) and Operation Freedom's Sentinel (Global War on Terror). 

Ryan earned a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University, and a Masters in Business Administration from Eastern University - College of Business & Leadership in St. David's, Pennsylvania.  He also holds a Master of Arts degree in National Defense & Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island, and has completed graduate seminar coursework at National Defense University in Washington, D.C., as well as the Pentagon's Defense Acquisition University focused on the business sector.  

Ryan lives in Westport, Connecticut with his family, where he actively volunteers with several 501c3 charities focused on veterans issues, historic education, and social and healthcare needs for our communities; including the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Connecticut Society SCW.
