Ruben has over 20 years of experience in finance. His diverse career includes experience in private equity, financial advisory, public finance, and commercial banking. He started his career at Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM) in New York City. While at CSAM, his position as a portfolio administrator within the Post Venture Group charged him with the responsibility of managing the information and transaction flow between the institutional clients, portfolio managers, and trading desks.

After leaving CSAM, he returned to his hometown of El Paso, TX and has held different roles within commercial/municipal banking at Wells Fargo and JPMorgan, Principal/CFO of a closely held Private Equity group, and roles as a financial advisor including with Merrill. Most recently Ruben held a role as a Corporate Relationship Manger within the Corporate/Commercial Banking group of PNC Bank.

A native of El Paso, Ruben is a proud alumni of University of Texas at El Paso. He is very active in the El Paso community and is an active board member of the El Paso Downtown Management District, where he currently serves as president and is also a Private Sector Representative to The Workforce Solutions Borderplex where he is the chair of the Industry and Economic Development Committee.

Ruben is the proud father of three boys, Nicolas, Benicio, and Marco. He has a passion music like the Rolling Stones but also likes a variety of genres. In fact he says that if he hadn’t gone into finance his dream career is to be a music producer.
