Ray is a Senior Vice President and the Market Executive for the Commercial Banking group at Bank of America. In this capacity, his responsibilities include managing and leading the activities of a team of relationship managers focused on delivering strategic financial guidance and solutions throughout the Greater Los Angeles marketplace. The team’s mission is to help local companies grow, improve cash flow, manage U.S. and international payments, and invest for the future. The team fulfills this mission by focusing on credit and lending, deposits, and cash management solutions to privately-held companies with annual revenues from $5 million to $50 million. Targeted industries and businesses include wholesalers, manufacturers, importers/exporters, professional services, medical, entertainment, and non- profit organizations, to name a few.Ray began his banking career in 1994 and joined Bank of America in 1999, where he has held a variety of positions. His prior roles have included Senior Credit Products Officer, Senior Credit Solutions Specialist & Business Development Officer. Vasquez also serves on the Bank’s Los Angeles Market President Leadership Council and is the Past Co-Chair of the San Gabriel Valley Region Leadership Council. In this capacity, Ray helps with the coordination of Associate Connectivity, Brand Visibility and Business Integration for Bank of America’s various lines of business. He is the Co- Chair of the Commercial Bank’s National Hispanic Latino Business Owner Strategy, Chair of the PSW Region Commercial Banking Hispanic Latino Business Owner Strategy and member of the Los Angeles Latino Leadership Team. In 2013, Ray was selected to be an inaugural member of the Bank’s Global Hispanic Latino Executive Council. The HLEC is comprised of the 200 senior Hispanic Latino executives at the Bank.
Active in the community, Ray has served with multiple not-for-profit organizations in the Greater Los Angeles area. He currently serves on the White Memorial Medical Center’s Charitable Foundation Board of Directors as the Immediately Past Chair. Ray also serves on the board for The CA Hispanic Chambers of Commerce Foundation and the Loyola Marymount University Leavey Center for Study of LA. Ray completed a one year leadership program “California Connections” through the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce in 2012.
Vasquez grew up in the San Gabriel Valley. He graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. In 2016 Ray earned a Graduate Certificate from the Pacific Coast Banking School at The University of Washington, a three-year commercial banking graduate program. He resides in Altadena with his wife and two daughters.
