Profile

Raj Patel is a Vice President, Relationship Manager for the South Texas market for Commercial Banking at Bank of America.  In this role, Raj leads a team of financial specialists to deliver credit, cash management and international banking solutions, to companies generally with $5 million to $50 million in annual revenues.  These companies include manufacturing, wholesalers, and distribution for both general industries and agriculture, active in the Houston market and its surrounding communities. 

With more than 15 years of financial services experience, Raj has held a number of roles within Bank of America. Prior to his current role, Raj was part of the Global Transaction Services (GTS) at Bank of America, where he was responsible for delivering the full range of global transaction banking, mobile and digital FinTech solutions to the firm’s clients across payments, receivables, liquidity and investment management, trade and supply chain finance. In his current role Raj serves as the primary point of contact for the client, leading and coordinating an extended team of specialists in the delivery of strategic, integrated financial solutions and guidance to local area businesses. 

To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities he serves, Raj volunteers with several not-for-profit organizations focused on ending hunger and homelessness, most recently with the Houston Food Bank, and Habitat for Humanity.  He also serves as a mentor for teammates across Bank of America, is Co-Chair of the regional client sat council, and participates in the emerging leaders program.  

Raj holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from the University of Houston.  He enjoys hosting gatherings for friends and family, playing golf, and traveling abroad.
