Profile

Phuong Au is a Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for the Washington Market in Commercial Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In this capacity, his responsibilities include leading a team of specialists focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Phuong’s mission is to help local companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or how complex. Phuong’s targeted industries and businesses include technology, healthcare and life science and professional services.

Bringing over 20 years of experience, Phuong joined Bank of America in 2012 as one of the pioneer Small Business Banker piloting the Seattle Market. Phuong knows what truly makes an accomplished and successful partnership between him and his clients. His breadth of knowledge expands but not limited to Commercial & Industrial Lending, Commercial Real Estate Lending, International Trade, and Treasury Management.  Phuong has served mid-sized companies throughout the greater King County area to support their business banking needs.

To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities he serves. Phuong volunteers with not-for-profit organizations focused providing resources to underprivilege youth sports.  Phuong also serves as a mentor for teammates across Bank of America as members in Asian Leadership Network, Disability Action Network.

Phuong emigrated from Saigon, Vietnam when he was eleven with his father and has settled in the Greater Seattle. Phuong is fluent in English, Chinese and Vietnamese. Outside of work, Phuong enjoys golfing, hiking and biking with his family.
