Profile

With over 20 years of diversified financial industry experience, in both private and public sectors (Office of the Banking Commissioner of MA), Payal has served large corporate Middle Market entities, as well as, growing, mid-sized companies and non-for-profits to support their banking needs at Bank of America in Commercial Banking for over 12 years in Credit, Risk and Relationship Management.

Driven by the belief that business and finance are tools for positive impact and greater good in the world, Payal leads a team of experts focused on understanding your company's unique needs to deliver tailored financial solutions to help drive its success.  She makes it her mission to aid Greater Boston-area companies thrive by achieving their business goals sustainably while supporting their employees and addressing the personal end goals of executives and business owners.

Passionate about entrepreneurship, social justice and the environment, Payal has mentored founders independently, plus with institutions such as the Inner City Capital Connections (ICCC) and Greentown Labs.  She also serves on the Advisory Boards of Climate Creatives and Pan Africa Project, and previously served on the Harvard Alumni Association Board of Directors promoting lifelong learning and connections.  She also mentors teammates across Bank of America and serves on D&I initiatives and employee resource groups within the organization.

Payal enjoys cross-cultural exchange and has travelled extensively: born in India, raised in West Africa and calling Boston home for over 25 years, she earned a multidisciplinary Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Harvard University, and is currently pursuing the Public Leadership Credential from the Harvard Kennedy School.
