Paul Canelli is a Senior Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager in the Commercial/Business Banking Division at Bank of America. Paul leads a team of specialists that focus on delivering creative financing, treasury, investment, and employee benefit solutions for companies in multi-faceted industries. Paul has a particular expertise in providing financing to metal fabrication entities, aerospace, paper board/folding box manufacturers, transportation companies, wholesale distributors (including liquor, fuel oil and food), non-profit private schools and colleges, and multi-location dental/orthodontist practices.Paul has over 35 years of banking of commercial banking experience, including over 20 years at Bank of America and its predecessor banks. His prior roles included various Senior Manager and Credit Officer positions in Commercial Banking, Non-Profit and Private Banking that serviced mid-size companies and larger non-profit entities throughout Connecticut.
A lifelong CT resident, Paul and his wife Connie reside in Hamden, CT where they raised three daughters. After completing a Post Graduate year at Choate Rosemary Hall, Paul obtained a BA in Biology/Zoology from Connecticut College in New London, CT. He then moved on to commercial banking and completed the Commercial Credit Training Program at Connecticut Bank and Trust Company and the Mortgage Lending Training Program at General Electric Credit Corporation.
Paul has served on numerous boards and committees of non-profit organizations in the community, including The New Haven Boys and Girls Club Board of Managers, President of the New Haven Boys and Girls Club Alumni Association, Director at The New Haven Tap-Off Club, and on various committees at Spring Glen Church in Hamden. He also coached his daughters and many other Hamden students in softball and basketball for The Hamden Father’s Recreation League for over 25 years.
