Patrick O’Toole is a Senior Vice President and Relationship Manager for the Metropolitan Chicago market in Commercial Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.  In this capacity, his responsibilities include leading a team of specialists focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Patrick’s mission is to help local companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or complex.

Bringing over 25 years of experience, Patrick joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2007 with the LaSalle Bank acquisition. He began his banking career at LaSalle Bank where he was most recently a Relationship Manager in the Midwest and held credit positions in Middle Market, Leveraged Finance and Loan Syndications.   Throughout his banking career, Patrick has served mid-sized companies throughout the Midwest area to support their commercial banking needs.

To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities he serves, Patrick volunteers with several not-for-profit organizations focused on helping disadvantage children and adults. He also serves as a mentor for teammates across Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a member and leader in the Intergenerational Employee Network. In addition, he serves on the steering committee for the CFO Leadership Council and is involved in Inner City Capital Connections and advises companies on business strategies.

Originally from Mount Prospect, Illinois, Patrick graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing from Indiana University. He also earned a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from DePaul University. He resides in LaGrange, Illinois.
