ProfileMike Shanahan is Vice President and Relationship Manager covering the Triangle market in Commercial Banking at Bank of America. In this capacity, his responsibilities include leading a team of specialists focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Mike’s mission is to help local companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or complex and provide strategic best practices and an integrated fresh perspective.
Bringing over 12 years of finance and banking experience, Mike joined Bank of America in 2015 holding several roles in Commercial Banking. He began his career in Retail Banking with various organizations before transitioning to Commercial Banking in Raleigh, NC.
To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities he serves, Mike is a Management Advisor for the BofA Community Volunteers team in the Triangle and volunteers often with several not-for-profit organizations focused on ending hunger and homelessness, promoting financial literacy and ending domestic violence. He also serves as a ESG market champion and acts as an advisory resource for companies on their journey to Net Zero.
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Mike graduated from Saint Vincent College with a degree in Finance. He resides in Raleigh, NC with his wife and 2 children.
