Michael (Mike) Marong is a Senior Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for the Upstate NY (Buffalo) market in Business Banking at Bank of America. In this capacity, his responsibilities include leading a team of specialists focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Mike’s mission is to help local companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or how complex.

Bringing over 20 years of experience, Mike joined Bank of America in 2010. He also served as a Middle Market Relationship Manager at Bank of America.  He began his banking career at HSBC Bank USA, N.A. where he was a Middle Market Relationship Manager in Buffalo. Throughout his banking career, Mike has served mid-sized companies throughout the Western New York Region to support their commercial banking needs.
 
To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities he serves, Mike volunteers or has volunteered at several local not-for-profit organizations.  He is focused on nurturing a strong economic environment in Western New York, most recently through his board participation at the Amherst Chamber of Commerce.  He is also focused on creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships between volunteer mentors and children and young adults through his board position at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie, Niagara and the Southern Tier.  Mike also serves as a mentor for his teammates across Bank of America.
 
Originally from East Amherst, NY, Mike graduated with a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Canisius College, and later obtained his NYS CPA License.  He currently resides in Lancaster, NY.
