Margey O’Brien is a Senior Vice President and Market Executive for Southeastern Massachusetts in Business Banking at Bank of America. In this capacity, her responsibilities include leading a team of specialists focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Margey’s mission is to help privately held companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or how complex.

Margey joined Bank of America in 2006 and has had roles as Senior Relationship Manager, Credit Products Officer, and previously served as the Business Banking Market Manager in Boston. Throughout her 35+ years in banking, Margey has dedicated her career to serving mid-sized companies and support their commercial banking needs.

To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities she serves, Margey volunteers with several not-for-profit organizations focused on ending hunger and homelessness. She has been an active volunteer at the Greater Boston Food Bank and Cradles to Crayons.  She is also a Better Money Habits Champion and currently volunteers virtually with Special Olympics, Goodwill, and Best Buddies.

Margey serves on the Women United Executive Committee for the United Way of Massachusetts Bay.  She is a mentor for teammates across Bank of America as a member in the Women’s Exchange Boston Chapter and LEAD for Women.  Margey is proudest of her opportunity to serve as a Co-Chairperson of the Disability Action Employee Network of Eastern New England.

Originally from Baltimore Maryland, Margey graduated with a BA degree in Business Administration from Gettysburg College.  She and her husband Bill raised their three children in New England and now resided in Plymouth, MA.  They were thrilled to welcome two new granddaughters to their family in 2020.
