Margey O’Brien is a Senior Vice President and Market Executive for Southeastern Massachusetts in Business Banking at Bank of America. In this capacity, her responsibilities include leading a team of Relationship Managers focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Margey’s mission is to help privately held companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or how complex.

Margey joined Bank of America in 2006 and has had roles as Senior Relationship Manager, Credit Products Officer, and previously served as the Business Banking Market Manager in Boston, MA and Pittsburgh, PA. Throughout her 40+ years in banking, Margey has dedicated her career to serving mid-sized companies and support their commercial banking needs.

To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities she serves, Margey volunteers with several not-for-profit organizations focused on ending hunger and homelessness. She has been an active volunteer at the Greater Boston Food Bank, More that Words, Cradles to Crayons and Habitat for Humanity.  She is also a Better Money Habits Champion and currently delivers BMH financial basics and budgeting classes to Special Olympics athletes.

Margey is a recognized leader within the Bank of America employee networks.  She serves as a co-chairperson of the Disability Action Employee Network of Eastern New England and was a founding chairperson of the Central CT Women’s Exchange and LEAD for Women (Leadership, Education, Advocacy and Development) network in Pittsburgh, PA.

Originally from Baltimore Maryland, Margey graduated with a BA degree in Business Administration from Gettysburg College.  She and her husband Bill raised their three children in New England and now resided in Plymouth, MA.
