Profile

Luiz Vilera is a Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager in Santa Barbara for the Global Commercial Banking group at Bank of America. In this role, Luiz empowers local companies by delivering integrated financial solutions, consultative advice, and digital-first approach to clients. Tailoring his approach to each client, he collaborates with his team to drive growth and efficiency where it's needed most. 

Luiz has over 20 years of experience in cross-border financial services, which includes trade finance, derivatives, credit, treasury, and many other financial services. He began his career as a future commodities broker, providing risk management and hedging services to companies. Prior of joining Bank of America, Luiz managed the portfolio of trade clients at a large National/Global competitor bank. 

Luiz has been appointed by the U.S. Department of Commerce as a member for the Central California District Export Council, where he currently serves as a vice-chair. In addition, Luiz is a subject matter expert of Santa Barbara SCORE. Luiz loves to spend time with his wife and three kids and is a triathlon enthusiast.
