Profile

Laura Shipley is a Senior Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for the Portland market in Commercial Banking at Bank of America. In this capacity, her responsibilities include understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Laura’s mission is to help local companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or how complex.

Bringing 30 years of experience, Laura joined Bank of America in 2018. She began her banking career at regional bank as the Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer in Portland, Oregon.  Prior to joining Bank of America she served as Vice President and Senior Professional Services Manager for community bank and Vice President and Senior Business Relationship Manager for a national bank also in Portland. Throughout her banking career, Laura has served mid-sized companies supporting their commercial banking needs.
 
To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities she serves, Laura volunteers with several not-for-profit organizations focused on providing support to children and families and access to justice for the underserved population, most recently with The Children's Cancer Association and the Oregon Law Foundation. In addition, she's the current board chair for Bank of America's Portland Chapter of LEAD for Women and previously served on the Albertina Kerr Centers Governing Board, Northwest Osteopathic Medical Foundation Board, Friends of the Children Ambassador Board, Tears of Joy Children's Theatre Board, St. John Fisher School Board and past chair of the Leadership Portland Alumni Board. 

Originally from Eureka California, Laura graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from Southern Oregon University. She resides in Lake Oswego, Oregon with her daughter and husband.
