Kara has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry including commercial credit underwriting, business relationship management, and Small Business Administration (SBA) Lending. She is skilled at understanding each client's needs and tailoring custom solutions to help them succeed financially in all stages of their business.As a Business Banking Senior Relationship Manager, she is focused on serving mid-sized business customers in the North Florida area.
Kara is a strong advocate for client digital efficiencies and fraud prevention. She is also a subject matter expert in loan structuring and has significant expertise in SBA Lending.
Kara was previously with Bank of America in the Charleston, SC market before rejoining Bank of America in the Jacksonville, FL market in 2024. Prior to re-joining Bank of America, Kara was mostly recently at Wells Fargo serving as Vice President, SBA Business Development Officer and previously served as a Relationship Manager in their Business Banking division.
Kara holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Managerial Finance, Cum Laude, from The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). She moved to North Florida in 2015 and is very passionate in women's entrepreneurship as demonstrated by her involvement in the Jacksonville Women's Business Center.
In 2024, Kara and her husband, Philip, celebrated their 20-year wedding anniversary and have a son and daughter. In her spare time, Kara enjoys working out, volunteering, relaxing at the beach with her family, and cheering on her Ole Miss Rebels. Kara resides in Ponte Vedra Beach and is a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
