ProfileJulius Santiago is a Senior Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for the Inland Empire Market in Commercial Banking at Bank of America. In this capacity, Julius’ responsibilities include leading a team of specialists focused on understanding each client’s unique needs, in order to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Julius’ mission is to help local companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or how complex.
Bringing over 20 years of experience in commercial banking, Julius joined Bank of America in 2019.
He began his banking career as a teller at Security Pacific Bank while attending college. Since then, he has served as an asset-based field examiner, internal credit review risk officer, a senior credit underwriter, and subsequently a Senior Relationship Manager covering the Inland Empire and Orange County areas. Prior to re-joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch he was with the Middle Market lending group of JPMorgan Chase.
Throughout his banking career, Julius has served mid-sized companies throughout the Inland Empire and Orange County areas to support their commercial banking needs. Julius has a broad background in lending and has worked on company acquisitions, negotiated, structured and completed various types of financing transactions, including online retail, real estate acquisition and construction, SBA, ESOP and senior debt financing.
Julius maintains active involvement in several organizations around the Inland Empire, including Inland Empire Economic Partnership, California Trucking Association, and the Institute of Management Accountants.
Julius holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from California State University in Fullerton. He is an avid sports enthusiast, loves to travel, and enjoys cars. Julius and his family reside in Chino Hills.
