Joseph “Jemie” Meachum is a SVP and Senior Relationship Manager for the Charleston Hilton Head Beaufort market in Commercial Banking at Bank of America. In this capacity, his responsibilities include leading a team of specialists focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Jemie’s mission is to help local companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or how complex.

Bringing 28 years of experience, Jemie joined Bank of America in 1994.  He has also served as a Credit Products Officer and Senior Underwriter.  He began his banking career at NationsBank where he was most recently a Relationship Manager in the midlands South Carolina Market.  Throughout his banking career, Jemie has served mid-sized companies throughout the Coastal and Midlands South Carolina area to support their commercial banking needs. 

To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities he serves, Jemie volunteers with several not-for-profit organizations focused on health, animal care, economic development and education, most recently serving on the AIDS Benefit Foundation of South Carolina Board, Charleston Animal Society Governance Committee and Celebrity Paws in the Park Committee, CRDA Chair Global Fluency Steering Committee,  and the Charleston Metro Chamber Career Academies Advisory Boards/Steering Committees. He also serves as a mentor for teammates across Bank of America as a member and leader in the Charleston Hilton Head Market serving on the local leadership team and volunteer council. 

Originally from Summerville, South Carolina, Jemie graduated with a Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from The University of South Carolina.   Jemie then completed his MBA from The University of South Carolina.  He resides in the South Carolina Lowcountry.
