John K. Tran is a Vice President and Relationship Manager for the Orange County Commercial Banking Group at Bank of America, based in Newport Beach, California.
 

In this capacity, his responsibilities include leading a team of specialists focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Tran's mission is to help local companies thrive by achieving business goals, no matter how simple or complex.
 

Bringing over 17 years of business and commercial banking experience, he joined Bank of America in 2017. He began his banking career at Wells Fargo in 2002, where he was in charge of new business development in Orange County, California, New Jersey, and New York. Throughout his banking career, he has served small to mid-sized companies throughout California and the New York Metro area to support his client's business and commercial banking needs. 


To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and the communities he serves, he volunteers with several not-for-profit organizations; one of which is Roots & Wings Foundation, whose core focus is on ending hunger and homelessness for aged-out foster care young adults. He also serves on the Advisory Board for this organization. He is a mentor for teammates across Bank of America as a member in the Asian Leadership Network, a Bank of America Employee Program. In addition, he served on the Executive Board of the New Jersey Staffing Alliance, a New Jersey focused association for staffing companies in New Jersey. 
 

He founded the Commercial Advisors of Real Estate (CARE) in Orange County and the Real Estate Advisory Professionals (REAP) Group in New Jersey, and is an active member with the Society of Industrial & Office Realtors (SIOR) of New Jersey. He is a member of Food Processors Associations and other industry-focused associations, such as the Aerospace industry.
 

Originally from Southern California, he attended Cypress College where he pursued a Business Degree. He is passionate about American and World history and loves to travel. His most recent trip with his wife was to Thailand and Vietnam. 


Tran currently lives in Orange County with his wife and two daughters.
