Joanne Campagna is a Senior Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for the Upstate New York market in Commercial Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.  In this capacity, her responsibilities include leading a team of specialists focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions.  Joanne’s mission is to help local companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or how complex.

Bringing 23 years of experience, Joanne joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch through its predecessor Bank, Fleet Bank, in 1996.  Throughout her banking career, Joanne has served mid-sized companies in the Greater WNY area including the US banking needs of Southeastern Ontario firms.  She began her career with Fleet Bank where she was a multiple year Pinnacle Club Member and the #1 Ranked Relationship Manager in 2001.  

To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities, she has served on a number of Boards and Committees over her career and is active in her community.  She is a current Trustee of the Burchfield Penney Art Center where she serves on the Development and Building & Grounds Committees, past Trustee of Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy where she was the Vice-Chair of the Building & Grounds Committee, ECMC, and past Chair of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership CanAm Council, as well as a past Treasurer of the Pro-Zoo Board.  She is a graduate of Leadership Buffalo and the FBI Citizen’s Academy as well as a long time member of The Buffalo Club, serving on multiple committees over the years. Joanne also serves as a Mentor for younger professionals within the Business Banking division and participates in the Bank's Junior Achievement Day of Teaching for Financial Literacy.

To further her efforts in the domestic market, she is active in the Buffalo Niagara Manufacturing Alliance (BNMA), having recently sponsored a successful Workforce Training Development Seminar at their new headquarters of the Northland Workforce Training Center.  Additionally, Joanne was the founding Treasurer for the Barbet Club of America and remains active in the global effort to revive and continue a rare sporting dog breed. 

Joanne was a Business First Women of Influence Winner in 2016.


Always a resident of Buffalo, NY, Joanne graduated with an MBA from the University of Buffalo.  She is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association Commercial Credit Training Program. 

When not traveling abroad, she resides in the historic Delaware Park area within the City with her multiple dogs and cats.
