ProfileElizabeth Kontomerkos is a Senior Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager in Bank of America's Business Banking division. Located in Connecticut, her responsibilities include working with mid-sized privately-held companies to understand each client’s unique business needs and to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Elizabeth’s mission is to help local companies thrive and grow by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or how complex. Whether it is optimizing their cash flow cycle, providing capital to support operations and growth, finding the most efficient treasury solutions for their day-today banking processes, or digitally transforming their banking processes for maximum efficiency, Elizabeth is truly an expert in the field.
Elizabeth began her 25+ year banking career working in global commercial banking supporting large Fortune 500 companies in New York City before joining Bank of America in 2005. Prior to that, Elizabeth served in several corporate finance and accounting roles for both privately-held and publicly-traded corporations in Connecticut. Throughout her career, Elizabeth has worked on both sides of the finance role and therefore is well-suited to understand and support a variety of companies in their business banking needs.
To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities she serves, Elizabeth volunteers with several not-for-profit organizations focused on ending hunger and homelessness, such as the Bridgeport Rescue Mission and Connecticut Food Share. In addition, she serves as an advisory board member at her local community Boys and Girls Club and is also a mentor and leader for teammates across Bank of America.
Born in Athens, Greece and then raised in Trumbull CT, Elizabeth graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in both Accounting and Finance from Fairfield University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Tulane University. She loves to travel, and is especially drawn to visiting various countries in Europe and the Greek islands. She currently resides in Fairfield, CT with her husband and two daughters.
