Ed Brennan is a Market Executive/Senior Vice President in Business Banking. In this role he is responsible for leading a team that focuses on companies with annual revenues ranging from $5 Million to $50 Million in the north, west and northwest suburban Chicago Metropolitan market, as well as Wisconsin.Ed leads a team that delivers Bank of America Merrill Lynch's extensive financing, treasury and advisory capabilities to privately held businesses located in Illinois and Wisconsin. Ed and his team focus on understanding the unique needs of each Company and customizing the banking products and services needed to effectively operate Clients’ businesses. Ed has extensive experience and focuses on the following industries: Healthcare/Medical Practices, Manufacturing, Distributors, Contractors and Wholesalers.
Ed began his career at LaSalle Bank in 1998 where he completed its formal credit training program and served as a credit analyst. Upon completion of the program, he joined a commercial banking team as a Relationship Manager serving the Chicagoland market. Following Bank of America’s acquisition of LaSalle Bank in 2007, Ed served as Senior Vice President and Senior Client Manager. In 2014, Ed began his current role as Market Executive for the Greater Chicago & WI Market.
Ed earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Northern Illinois University.
A native of Chicago, Ed is a member of the NIU Executive Forum. Ed enjoys coaching his daughter’s basketball teams. In addition, he is a member of the Evans Scholars Leadership Council and the Notre Dame High School Alumni Association.
