Profile

Denise Makarem is a Sr. Relationship Manager for the Orange County market for Business Banking at Bank of America. In this capacity, her responsibilities include managing and leading the activities of a team of relationship managers focused on delivering strategic financial guidance and solutions throughout the Orange County marketplace. The team’s mission is to help local companies grow, improve cash flow, manage U.S. and international payments, and invest for the future. The team fulfills this mission by focusing on credit and lending, deposits, and cash management solutions to privately-held companies with annual revenues from $5 million to $50 million. Targeted industries and businesses include wholesalers, manufacturers, importers/ exporters, professional services, medical, entertainment, and non-profit organizations, to name a few.

Denise began her banking career with Bank of America in 1989 in the Consumer Bank where she held a Financial Services Representative position then became a Business Development officer for the Orange County market. Since joining Business Banking in 2000 she has grown her clientele and now manages a $75 Million credit portfolio in Orange County.  

Active in the community, Denise volunteers a lot of her personal time with various not-for-profit organizations including local children's cancer research charities and causes fighting hunger in the OC community.  She also serves as a mentor for numerous associates within Bank of America. 

Denise Makarem graduated from the American University in Lebanon with a Degree of Public Administration and Political Science.  She currently resides in North Orange County with her husband and two sons.
