David B. Nelson (Dave) is a Senior Vice President and Market Executive for the Greater Seattle/Northwest Washington market for commercial banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. This executive level position oversees commercial banking operations for a wide variety of businesses including general industries, from family-owned enterprises to multinational corporations. In this capacity, Dave provides direct management for a team of Relationship Managers while providing additional strategic leadership to other direct key members of the client team, including treasury, credit, and other product partners, as well as support staff.

Dave joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2007 as a Client Manager and was promoted to a Market Manager position in 2012 for the Western Washington Business Banking team. He was promoted to the Market Executive position in 2014. Prior to joining Bank of America, Dave spent 14 years in the financial services industry in various business development and leadership positions throughout the U.S.

Passionate in his support of diversity and inclusion and the positive impact it has in the work environment and community, Dave has focused on professional women development in his market. Dave created and organized the market’s first ever professional women’s conference in 2017.

Dave holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota with graduate level studies at Duquesne University. He is an active supporter of the Humane Society, as well as an avid skier and cyclist. He enjoys spending all of his free time with his spouse and two daughters.
