David Barton is a Senior Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for the North Florida market in Commercial Banking at Bank of America. In this capacity, his responsibilities include leading a team of specialists focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. David’s mission is to help local companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or how complex. He is also a member of Bank of America’s ESOP Solutions Advisory team (ESA), a national coverage model that supports local banking teams with expertise required to assist employee owned companies and those considering an ESOP transition.

Bringing 28 years of experience, David joined Bank of America in 2010.  He began his banking career at Barnett Bank where he was most recently a Business Banker in Jacksonville. Throughout his banking career, David has served mid-sized companies throughout the North Florida area to support their commercial banking needs.

To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities he serves, David volunteers with several not-for-profit organizations focused on the preservation of land and natural resources, most recently as a member of the Board of Directors of The North Florida Land Trust.   He also serves as a mentor for teammates across Bank of America as a past member and leader on the Executive Council, Digital Champion, LIBOR Transition and ESOP Subject Matter Expert. In addition, he is a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville '22, serves on the Board of Directors of The North Florida Land Trust, Alumni Board of The Bolles School, and is active with the Hampden Sydney College Alumni group in Jacksonville, and Ducks Unlimited.

Originally from Jacksonville, Florida David graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Hampden-Sydney College. He resides in Jacksonville, Florida.
