Blanca Cortez is a Senior Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for the greater Los Angeles market in Commercial Banking at Bank of America. In her role, Blanca leads a team of specialists dedicated to tailoring financial strategies and solutions to meet the distinct needs of each client. Her primary goal is to help local companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or how complex.Blanca began her banking career in 2009 and previous roles included Cash Management Supervisor, Business Analyst, and Treasury Associate. Blanca joined Bank of America as a Treasury Analyst in 2015 and attained her Certified Treasury Professional credentials in 2016. She worked with healthcare, education, and not-for-profit companies with annual revenues up to $500 million. Her experience in these areas of banking allow her to bring a unique perspective and holistic approach to each client.
Blanca's career in banking commenced in 2009, progressing through several key positions including Cash Management Supervisor, Business Analyst, and Treasury Associate. Joining Bank of America in 2015 as a Treasury Analyst, she earned her Certified Treasury Professional credentials the following year. Blanca's industry expertise includes food and beverage, healthcare, education, and not-for-profit, managing accounts with annual revenues up to $500 million. This experience grants her a comprehensive and informed approach to client management.
A first-generation Mexican American, Blanca was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and is the eldest of seven children. She holds a triple-major Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, focusing on Finance, Management, and Operations from California State University, Long Beach. Her parents founded a successful tire business in 1980, which grew to seven locations. Her upbringing in an entrepreneurial environment fueled her passion for supporting businesses including those owned by minorities. Outside of her professional life, Blanca enjoys spending quality time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.
She is a member of the leadership team for the Latino employee network (HOLA), Hispanic Latino Business Council, and Latino Business Council. Her community involvement extends to supporting several non-profits in Los Angeles, which focus on aiding children, homeless individuals, veterans, and health-related causes.
