ProfileCharmaine Chin is an SVP and Senior Relationship Manager for the South Texas market in Commercial Banking at Bank of America. In this capacity, her responsibilities include leading a team of specialists focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Charmaine’s mission is to help local companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or how complex. Bringing over 22 years of commercial banking experience, Charmaine joined Bank of America in March 2019. She originally started her banking career as a commercial relationship banker in Toronto, Canada, and in the last nine years, transitioned this role to Houston, Texas. Her prior experience also includes several roles in liquidity management and external audit. Throughout her banking career, Charmaine has served mid-sized companies throughout the Houston, and international markets, to support their commercial banking needs
To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities she serves, Charmaine volunteers with her Church and several not-for-profit organizations. She is focused on helping through mentorship, and being a role model for children, so that they can achieve their biggest possible potential. She also serves as a member of the Black Professional Group in Houston, and is part of the Black Executive Leadership Team at Bank of America.
Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Charmaine graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration, with a major in Finance, from the University of the West Indies and an MBA from the Mona School of Business also from the University of the West Indies. She currently resides in Houston, Texas with her family.
