Profile

Cecilia Sotelo is a Senior Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for the Orange County market in Business Banking at Bank of America. She focuses on helping mid-sized companies achieve their business goals by understanding their unique needs and providing strategic financial guidance and solutions.

She has 18 years of banking experience, joined Bank of America in 2006, and has held several positions within the company. She began working with small businesses when she became a Small Business Specialist, then a Small Business Banker and later had the opportunity to lead a team of Business Solutions Advisors in Orange County.
In her current role and as member of the Business Banking group she is responsible, for retaining, managing, and acquiring privately held companies with annual revenues from $5 million to $50 million. She joins forces with key partners to help companies optimize cash flow, get access to capital, strengthen digital capabilities, and invest for the future. Targeted industries and businesses include wholesalers, manufacturers, importers/exporters, professional services, medical, entertainment, and non-profit organizations, to name a few.

She has earned numerous top performer awards for her dedication and consistent approach to serve her clients while exceeding their expectations. As an advocate of financial literacy and a believer in the power of lifting each other up, Cecilia is a Champion with the Orange County Better Money Habit Chapter, an Executive Sponsor of the Orange County Hispanic-Latino Organization for Leadership & Advancement HOLA, and a supporter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Cecilia holds a bachelor’s degree in Ecotourism from the Catholic University of Quito-Ecuador and an Associate in Arts in Accounting from Orange County College. She resides in Aliso Viejo CA and in her spare time, she enjoys doing outdoor activities such as pickleball, hiking, skiing, and camping with her two teenagers’ kids and her husband. In addition, she loves traveling, trying new foods, and learning about different cultures. She is a firm believer in the quote: “Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer”- Anonymous.
