Austin Wu is a Vice President and Relationship Manager for the Orange County Commercial Banking Team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In this capacity, his responsibilities include working with a team focused on delivering strategic financial guidance and solutions throughout the Southern California marketplace. The team’s mission is to help local companies grow, improve cash flow, manage U.S. and international payments, and invest for the future. The team fulfills this mission by focusing on credit and lending, deposits, and cash management solutions to privately-held companies with annual revenues from $5 million to $50 million. Targeted industries and businesses include wholesalers, manufacturers, importers/exporters, professional services, medical, entertainment, and non-profit organizations, to name a few.Austin joined Bank of America in 2017 and is based in Newport Beach. He began his career at E*Trade Bank in 2002, where he started as a mortgage banker and then transitioned to a team lead. In his previous position prior joining Bank of America, he was a Commercial Loan Officer with Wells Fargo’s Business Banking Group and was recognized as a top performer in his market.
Active in the community, Austin Wu volunteers a lot of his personal time with various not-for-profit organizations that focus on nurturing the health and well-being of children and families, most recently with Ronald McDonald House Charities, YMCA, and Orange County Rescue Mission. Austin serves on the finance committee for Irvine Public School Foundation. Internally, Austin Wu is the Co-Chair of Bank of America Power OC and member of Asian Leadership Network. He is responsible for employee engagement, company values, and career development. He is dedicated to improving culture and engagement.
Austin resides in Irvine CA with his wife and two daughters. Austin graduated from University of California, Irvine with a B.A. degree in Social Science. Austin enjoys golfing, cooking, swimming, and spending quality time with his friends and family.
