Amy Walsh is a Senior Relationship Manager for the Rhode Island market in Global Commercial Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In this capacity, her responsibilities include leading a team of specialists focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Amy’s mission is to help local companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or complex.

Bringing almost twenty years of experience, Amy joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2011. She began her banking career at Citizens Bank where she was a Business Banking Officer covering the southern portion of Rhode Island.  Throughout her banking career, Amy has served small and mid-sized companies in southern New England to support their banking needs.  She has also owned a small manufacturing firm.  Amy’s experience helps her to consistently be recognized as a top performer; and feels success is determined when clients reach their goals. 

To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities she serves, Amy volunteers with a number of not-for-profit organizations focused on education, the environment and helping children with special needs.  She also serves as a mentor for teammates across Bank of America Merrill Lynch -as a member of the RI LEAD for Women, member of My Environment and is an active participant in the IGEN network (Inter-generational Enterprise Network).  Additionally Amy also serves on the Board of Trustees for Kingston Hill Academy and on the Leadership Team for the Special Education Local Advisory Committee (SELAC).

Amy studied both Business Administration and Psychology at the University of Rhode Island.  Currently she is enrolled in the American Bankers Association/Stonier Graduate School of Banking program at the University of Pennsylvania.  Amy, her husband Justin and son Nicholas reside in Jamestown, Rhode Island.
