Abdulrashid (Abdul) Abubakari is a Vice President and Relationship Manager for the New York Metro market in Business Banking at Bank of America. In this capacity, his responsibilities include leading a team of specialists focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. Abdul’s mission is to help local companies thrive by achieving their business goals, no matter how simple or how complex. 

Bringing 16 years of experience, Abdul joined Bank of America in 2012 as a Small Business Banker in the Borough of Manhattan. Beginning his banking career at Citibank, Abdul has managed to help mid-sized companies meet their Commercial banking needs throughout the Tri-State area.

To help create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities , Abdul volunteers with several non-for-profit organizations that focuses on ending breast cancer, hunger, poverty, and homelessness, such as Susan G. Komen, Grow NYC, City Harvest, Harlem Capital Prep HS, Feeding America and local food banks. He also serves as a member and mentor for teammates across Bank of America within the Black Professional Group (BPG) NY Chapter and Hispanic/Latino Organization for Leadership and Advancement (HOLA) NY Chapter. In addition, he serves as an Alumni Ambassador for his alma mater Excelsior College.

Originally from Ghana, Abdul graduated with a MBA in Accounting from Excelsior College. He currently resides in Bronx, New York.
